BabyCue, your trust and privacy are essential to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights under laws like GDPR (EU), CCPA (California), and Israeli privacy law.

Audio recordings of your baby's cry
Selected reason for cry (if provided)
Baby's age (in days or months)
Your email address
App usage metadata (optional, anonymized)

2. Purpose of Collection

We use this data to:

Provide personalized, non-medical insights
Improve the performance and accuracy of our AI models
Understand cry patterns based on age and behavior
Communicate updates, support, or surveys (opt-in only)

AI Model Training

To improve the accuracy of our AI models, BabyCue used publicly available audio datasets for training purposes.

Portions of the model were trained using the Donated Cry Corpus, which is licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL 1.0).

Important: No raw data from this corpus is stored, shared, or exposed within the app. All processing is done internally and securely.

3. Legal Basis (GDPR)

We process your data based on:

Your explicit consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR)
Our legitimate interest in product improvement and user support (Article 6(1)(f))

We only share data with trusted processors such as:

AI infrastructure (e.g., OpenAI), under strict confidentiality and security terms

BabyCue is intended for adult use only (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children under 13. All use of the app must be by a parent or legal guardian.
